A-Frame Cabin In Idyllwild - The Ultimate Glamping Experience

A-Frame Cabin In Idyllwild - The Ultimate Glamping Experience

Want to have a romantic getaway or relaxing retreat in a cozy A-frame cabin nestled among gorgeous sweet-smelling pine tree's? Then you need to check out this cute vacation home located in the charming village of Idyllwild!

Don't know where Idyllwild is? That's a good thing! Unlike the more busier mountain towns such as Big Bear, Idyllwild has a much slower pace and relaxing atmosphere which is ideal if you're looking for a place to unwind.

This quaint town has something to offer everyone; for outdoor lovers there are plenty of hiking and mountain bike trails, a nice selection of restaurants for foodies and many art galleries to peruse. They even have a brewery and small movie theatre.

Idyllwild is located in the San Jacinto Mountains only a mere two hours drive from Los Angeles or San Diego so a short weekend trip is possible!

Ultimate Glamping Experience In Idyllwild

Idyllwild has quite a few vacation homes on offer but we had decided we were particularly keen to find an A-frame cabin. Because who wouldn’t want to stay in an A-frame cabin in the woods?

There's something about this style of cabin that conjures up images of cozy winter retreats and being among nature. Well to me it does anyway.

So if you want to make your trip to Idyllwild extra special we recommend booking a stay at the Idyllcreek A-Frame Cabin

This cute cabin stood out for us in particular because of the huge windows in the front. I love wall to wall windows, especially in beautiful settings such as this where you can still enjoy the outdoors from inside. It's almost like camping but with all the amenities. You could almost call this glamping, right?

Either way, this vacation home was an amazing experience and if you keep reading I'll tell you why we loved it so much.

Our cabin was called 'Idyllcreek' which you can find on the Experience Idyllwild website.

Why We Loved Our Stay In Idyllwild

There's a lot to love about this cabin but I have to say its setting was especially special! It is literally built under tall pine trees. In fact, the front deck is built around one and the hot tub is situated right beside it.

If you are a nature lover, you will fall in love with this place! From both bedrooms upstairs you can lay in bed and watch the birds and squirrels climb up the trees unaware you are observing them.

Here are some other features of the Idyllcreek cabin we loved:

The Outdoor Fireplace

This outdoor fireplace made our stay! See what I mean about feeling like we were camping? The front deck was fun to spend the evenings and you can even hop in the hot tub if you're feeling like you might need a relaxing soak.

The Back Deck

The back deck was a nice area to enjoy a morning coffee or an afternoon beer. There is also a barbecue if you want to grill up some burgers. We brought our own Mexican blankets for added coziness.

The Kitchen

The kitchen has a lot of light and everything you might need to cook up any meal. There are plenty of plates and cutlery if you plan on entertaining visitors and the owners even keep the pantry stocked in case you run out of anything!

As a bonus, they have a park pass if you plan on venturing out to hike.

The Bedroom

I've always wanted to sleep in an A-frame cabin so this bedroom was an awesome experience for me! It almost felt like sleeping in a tree house with all the wood and the huge window.

And yes, I brought my own fairy lights for added atmosphere. I am obsessed with these string lights! You can get the exact string lights in this picture here.

The Bathroom

The bathroom was cute and the owners provided mini toiletries that were a nice gesture.

The pebble finish on the shower walls and floor make it feel like the outdoors are being brought in yet again.

Cabin Features

The cabin has two bedrooms (both bedrooms have a gas fireplace perfect for cozy winter getaways), two bathrooms, a kitchen equipped with everything you need, an office (complete with desktop and printer), wifi, cable tv, barbecue, and hot tub!

There is also a wood-burning stove in the living area and almost a whole library's worth of books.

The cabin is within walking distance to all the stores and restaurants in town.

Our Review On Staying At The Idyllcreek A-Frame Cabin

Our stay was an absolute delight and honestly we never wanted to leave! We enjoyed the cabin so much we barely left it on our two night stay. Idyllwild was a pleasure to visit and this cabin played a huge part in that.

If you are looking for a place to spend a relaxing weekend away or a romantic destination in an outdoor setting then take a trip to Idyllwild and book a stay at the Idyllcreek A-frame Cabin. We will definitely be back.
